Kerbala Journal for Engineering Sciences (KJES) is a global, scientific, and Open Access journal. It is published quarterly by the College of Engineering, University of Kerbala (UOK), Karbala, Iraq, since 2020 (online version). KJES publishes original and review papers in the fields of engineering and science. The journal uses a double-blind peer-reviewing system to assure the quality of the publication. The Turnitin service is used for plagiarism tests and to ensure the originality of our submitted manuscripts.

Editorial Decision-Making and Independence

Kerbala Journal for Engineering Sciences (KJES) ensures full editorial independence and adherence to international publishing standards. While Section Editors manage the peer-review process within their respective disciplines, final publication decisions are jointly made by the Editor-in-Chief and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief (International) based on reviewers’ recommendations and journal policies.

International Editorial Board members actively contribute to the review process, editorial consultation, and strategic development of the journal. Decisions are made solely on scientific merit, without institutional, geographical, or personal bias.
